Homebound? Have mobility issues? Or just want to take a virtual vacation? Check out this series of attractions all over the world that have virtual tours!
Scuba diving is expensive, time consuming, and not very accessible to most disabled people and those with unique abilities. Nonetheless, watching sea life and under-the-water scenes is an extraordinary experience that fills our minds with wonder. Luckily, it doesn’t cost us anything to VIRTUALLY visit aquariums and experience the underwater worlds. National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD, USA, has a floor-by-floor tour of their amazing underwater exhibits on their website, where visitors can explore tropical waters to the icy tundra! This nonprofit aquarium opened in 1981 with a focus on inspiring the conservation of the world’s aquatic ecosystems — plants, creatures, soil, everything. Not only does National Aquarium have creatures in exhibits for the public to see; but they have rescued, rehabilitated, and released hundreds of marine mammals in the mid-Atlantic region. We encourage you all to virtually visit this award-winning aquarium!
